The Fulling team is watching Global Leadership Networks video on Trust by Henry Cloud.

Trust is the currency that drives every relationship. We are wired biologically, neurologically, emotionally, spiritually, and psychologically to trust. Join Dr. Henry Cloud to explore the five foundational aspects of trust that must be present in any relationship, team, business or ministry. Walk away with a model to know when to give trust, when to withhold it, how to earn it, and how to fix it when it gets broken.

(11:56-end)

Henry finished out talking about the 5 things needed for Trust:

3) Ability – Do they have the ability?

4) Character – do they have the makeup needed for the situation?

5) Track Record – is there consistent positive track record or positive changes towards building a good track record?

Forgiveness is free, but trust is earned.  It takes time.

We talked in breakout groups about how we can try to gain trust with clients quickly through showing understanding & our motives/character.  We also want to show them our ability with quick wins when possible.

We all want to grow in these areas and build our track record with consistency.  We can continue to show our ability through keeping things fresh with our clients as well.  All the while it’s important to continue to keep understanding at the forefront and making sure we’re asking the right questions to truly understand our client and not just jump into the doing.

Food for Thought

  1. Understanding, motive, ability, character, track record – which one(s) are most important for us to build with our clients quickly?

  2. Which of these foundational aspects of trust would you like to work on professionally?

  3. How can we continue to show our clients that we are trustworthy based on these 5 things?
