How To Uncover What Matters and Live By It

The Fulling team recently completed a video on How To Uncover What Matters and Live By It by Ken Coleman.

Core Values: What They Really Reveal About Us

Ken Coleman says core values are beliefs worth fighting for, while Peter Drucker reminds us our time and money reflect what we truly value. In our discussions, we recognized how easily work can overshadow priorities, but also how fulfilling it is to help clients grow as leaders. Key personal values included honesty, integrity, and loving others.

Coleman encourages leaders to observe standout behaviors, recurring issues, and what sets their team apart to discover core values—then refine them to what truly matters. As he said, “You can’t spell community without unity.”

Our faith-based approach, strong client relationships, and unique values set us apart. Once values are clear, make them memorable, share them creatively with the team, and reinforce them often. Values show up in our actions, both personally and professionally, and help us spot alignment—or misalignment—with others.

Follow-Up Reflection:
How does your daily work support FMA’s purpose—and why does it matter?

Leadership Insight:
Leaders must model their values. To make values stick: recognize, reward, and empower those who live them. Strong values shape behavior, guide decisions, build the right team, and define your brand.

Conversation Questions and Food For Thought:

  1. What does your calendar and bank account say you value?

  2. What client problems or solutions get you fired up?

  3. What are some of your personal values?
