Last month, our whole Fulling Management & Accounting team spent three days together. We talked, laughed, dreamed, and challenged each other. We also got clear on where we want to be in three years.

We turned our vision into SMART Goals:

  • Specific

  • Measurable

  • Achievable

  • Relevant

  • Time-bound

A vision is the destination. SMART Goals are the path.

The Hidden Risk of Experience

We've been in business over 26 years. That's a gift, but it comes with a risk.

Consistency is a superpower, until it quietly becomes complacency.

It sounds like this: "That's just how we do it."

So we're becoming “What If?” leaders.

Instead of asking, "How do we improve this?", we ask:

"If we were starting from scratch today, would we even do it this way?”

The 5 "What If?" Questions

  1. Eliminate: What if we stopped doing this?

  2. Automate: What if a system did it for us?

  3. Simplify: What if we cut the steps in half?

  4. Client's Eyes: What if we saw it the way our customer does?

  5. Clarity: What if there were a better way to make this clear?

Sometimes the answer is, "This is still the best way." That's fine. Now you know why you do it.

We don't need to change everything. But we should be willing to question anything.

📌 Save This: 15-Minute "What If?" Audit

Step 1: Pick 3 things you haven't questioned in 2+ years.
Good places to look: client onboarding, pricing, meetings, reporting, hiring, or software.

Step 2: Ask the 5 questions about each one.

Step 3: Give each a verdict.

Verdict: What to do

✅ Keep

🔧 Tweak

Step 4: Turn one into a goal.

By [date], we will [action] so that [result]. [Name] owns it.

What's something in your business you haven't questioned in a long time?

Maybe it's time to ask: "What if?"
